Jet2 Extends Leeds Bradford–Tunisia Flights Into Late Autumn
Jet2 has expanded its planned Tunisia programme from Leeds Bradford Airport, adding seats following strong early demand for departures outside the main summer period. The decision builds on the destination’s introduction for summer 2027 and gives passengers across Yorkshire more dates to choose from. According to the company, bookings from customers and interest from independent travel agents have supported the move to a longer operating season.
Jet2’s revised schedule adds departures beyond the original end date of 30 October 2027 and brings services back in February ahead of summer 2028. The route details are:
- Route: Leeds Bradford, UK, to Enfidha-Hammamet, Tunisia.
- Frequency: Once a week, on Saturdays.
- Extended season: Flights continue until 27 November 2027.
- Restart date: 12 February 2028, continuing throughout summer 2028.
- Operator: Jet2, the only airline serving this route from Leeds Bradford.
"The response to the launch of Tunisia for Summer 2027 has been fantastic. With plenty of demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to book early and looking to book Tunisia for some winter sunshine, we are delighted to be extending our programme from Leeds Bradford Airport."
Coastal Resorts and Historic Towns
Hammamet and Yasmine Hammamet are among the resorts available through the programme, offering a starting point for visitors interested in Tunisia’s Mediterranean coastline. A holiday here can combine time on the beach with exploring historic streets and browsing local markets. Travellers choosing between the two should consider how much time they want to spend around their accommodation and how often they intend to head out to explore.
Sousse offers another option for visitors who want to include a historic medina in their coastal holiday, while Port el Kantaoui, Skanes and Mahdia also feature in the resort selection. Beyond the coast, Tunisia’s Roman remains and desert landscapes provide further possibilities for sightseeing. Anyone hoping to include these experiences should check excursion distances and availability before booking, particularly when planning a shorter stay around the weekly flight schedule.
The practical benefit of the expansion is greater choice over when to travel from Leeds Bradford, particularly for people looking beyond peak summer. Saturday departures provide a clear starting point for planning, but the service is seasonal, with a gap between late November and mid-February. Choosing dates alongside the intended activities will help passengers decide whether the additional departures suit a coastal break, a sightseeing holiday or a combination of both.
