Jet2 Extends Access to Kefalonia for Late Season
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will continue flights and holiday services to Kefalonia until 31 October 2026. Changes have been made in response to demand from UK passengers and travel agents for flights later in the season. The updated timetable includes the October half-term, giving families and other passengers the ability to plan trips beyond the main summer months. This adjustment ensures continued availability of services for multiple departure dates in autumn.
After extending the schedule, the airline has outlined particular updates to its flight services and departure airports. The updated timetable introduces a number of changes to flight services and airport connections:
- New weekly Saturday flights from Manchester Airport to Kefalonia, operating from early October through 31st October.
- Up to six weekly flights from Manchester between 2nd May and 31st October 2026, extending the previously scheduled season end date of 10th October.
- Flights from eight additional UK airports: Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, and London Stansted.
These adjustments allow travelers from different UK regions to reach Kefalonia more directly and provide more options for planning trips during autumn.
“Kefalonia is an extremely popular holiday destination, and we are seeing continued demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to book both peak and late summer dates. Due to this response, we are delighted to be extending our Summer 26 season to the end of October, providing customers with the flexible holiday choices that they want."
The extended timetable enables access to several locations on the island. Passengers can visit Myrtos Beach, the Drogarati caves, and Mount Ainos National Park. These sites are available for travel during October, providing options for outdoor visits. The timetable keeps the island’s natural sites and main landmarks available to visitors during the late-season period, without depending only on peak-season flights.
Other destinations on Kefalonia can also be reached under the updated timetable. Passengers can travel to Assos village with its Venetian castle, Antisamos Beach, or Fiscardo harbour. The wider airport coverage provides access from multiple UK locations and allows trips to be arranged according to individual schedules. Both short visits and longer stays can be planned using the extended services.
Flights continuing through October maintain Kefalonia’s accessibility for UK passengers later in the year. The timetable enables passengers to organize trips according to school breaks, professional obligations, or individual plans. Maintaining flights beyond the originally scheduled season allows passengers to access beaches, natural sites, and local areas from several UK airports throughout autumn, keeping late-season travel options available.
