Hilton Plans 199-Room Hotel Beside Munich’s New Arena
Hilton is bringing its Tempo lifestyle brand to Germany for the first time with a 199-room hotel planned beside the new MUNICH ARENA at Munich Airport. Tempo by Hilton Munich Airport Arena is due to open in 2029 alongside the concert venue, giving event-goers an on-site overnight option while also targeting airport users who want to stay close to one of Germany’s busiest hubs.
The hotel will sit on the MUNICH ARENA campus on Freising territory, near Munich Airport and the LabCampus innovation district. Hilton says rooms will include a dedicated "Get Ready Zone", while the property will also have a gym, ground-floor café and rooftop bar. Nightly rates, booking dates and an exact opening date within 2029 have not yet been announced.

The location could work especially well for concert trips because the planned arena and hotel will share the same campus. Besucherpark station is served by the S1 and S8, with trains currently running every 10 minutes between the station and Munich Airport’s terminals. The same lines continue towards central Munich, while guests attending events could stay beside the venue instead of travelling back into the city late at night.
Travellers heading into central Munich for sightseeing may still find a city-centre hotel more convenient. This new Hilton will make more sense for concert nights, short airport stays and trips built around MUNICH ARENA, especially when avoiding a late journey back into the city matters more than being close to the old town.
