Hanoi–Prague Flights Go on Sale
Vietjet has opened ticket sales for its new Hanoi–Prague route, marking another step in the airline’s expansion into the European Union. The service will begin on 10 October 2026, using new A330 aircraft. Eco class fares start at VND 5,940,000 (€215) one way, excluding taxes and fees, with tickets available through Vietjet’s website, app, offices and authorised agents.
The route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a transit stop in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Vietjet says the service will connect passengers with more than 20 countries and territories across its wider network of 186 routes, while giving travellers between Vietnam and the Czech Republic a more direct long-haul option.

- Hanoi to Prague: departs 08:25, transits in Almaty, arrives 18:55
- Prague to Hanoi: departs 20:55, transits in Almaty, arrives 16:20
Deluxe fares start at VND 7,320,000 one way and include 40kg of checked baggage, 10kg of carry-on baggage, a hot meal, seat selection and free flight changes under stated conditions.
The route could make Prague easier to reach for Vietnamese travellers interested in Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the city’s Gothic and Baroque streets. In the other direction, Hanoi gives Czech travellers access to the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, street-food areas and onward trips to places such as Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh and Hoi An through Vietjet’s wider network.

The new route will therefore significantly facilitate travel to the Czech Republic, support arrivals from Southeast Asia, and open up further opportunities for the development of tourism and trade relations."
The service matters because demand already exists: Prague Airport said more than 75,000 people travelled between Prague and Hanoi in both directions in 2025. The new link should help families, tourists, business travellers and cargo traffic move between the two countries with fewer planning barriers. It also gives Prague another route into Southeast Asia through Vietnam’s wider network.
