Hahn Adds Rabat and Eastern Europe Routes for Summer 2026
TRIWO Hahn Airport is expanding its network with three additional destinations as the summer timetable begins on 29 March 2026. Travellers will gain new links to Rabat in Morocco, Timișoara in Romania and Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air will operate the routes, while the overall programme will include 38 destinations and up to 130 weekly departures and arrivals across the schedule.
Ryanair plans to introduce flights to Rabat twice a week starting on 1 April. Morocco’s capital is known for the Kasbah of the Udayas, a historic site surrounded by gardens and overlooking the Atlantic coast. The city combines traditional architecture with coastal scenery, offering visitors both cultural landmarks and relaxed seaside walks within a relatively compact area easy to explore on foot.
Wizz Air will run twice-weekly flights to Timișoara starting 31 March. The city stands out for its mix of architectural styles and long history shaped by different religious communities, visible in its churches and historic squares. Timișoara was named a European Capital of Culture in 2023. Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina will also return to the schedule with three weekly flights, restoring a link previously available in summer 2023.
Places becoming easier to reach
- Rabat – Kasbah of the Udayas UNESCO site
- Timișoara – European Capital of Culture 2023
- Tuzla – salt lake with white pebble beach
FlyOne will also expand its Romanian offer by adding Bucharest twice a week from 11 May, alongside existing services to Chișinău. Popular leisure routes remain available, including Palma de Mallorca with up to 14 weekly flights and London Stansted with as many as 15 weekly departures, keeping familiar holiday options alongside the newly introduced destinations.
More routes make summer trips easier to plan. Travellers can combine time at the coast with visits to historic cities and include places that are not always part of typical holiday plans. Direct access to smaller European destinations also helps reduce pressure on the busiest resorts and encourages exploring locations that often receive less attention.
