Lufthansa has reopened its redesigned Premium Check-in Area in Terminal 1, Hall A, along with the refreshed Business Lounge at Gate A13 in Frankfurt Airport. The renewed areas, opened on 25 November 2025, now give First Class guests, HON Circle members, Senators, and Star Alliance Gold passengers a quieter, better-organised start to their time at the airport. The redesign focuses on comfort, shorter routes, and practical services that match frequent flyers’ needs.

Quicker entry and easier organisation

  • The new Premium Area provides a short walk to security, cutting the usual queue time and making the airport routine more predictable.
  • Guests can now repack bags or change outfits in dedicated rooms, a feature often requested by long-haul and business travellers who need extra space before heading to the gate.
“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. With the new Premium Check-in Area, we have created a space for our guests that combines comfort, efficiency, and personalized service at the highest level. The reopening marks a milestone in the collaboration between Lufthansa and Fraport. Together, we are creating infrastructure that meets the highest standards and makes the stay at Frankfurt Airport even more pleasant for our guests."
Francesco Sciortino, Hub Manager Frankfurt & Accountable Manager Lufthansa Airlines

Workspaces and calmer waiting spots

  • High tables with charging points and comfortable seating give passengers a quiet place to answer emails, review documents, or simply regroup before boarding.
  • The dedicated waiting area is away from the crowded hall, so Premium guests have a calm place to sit, catch up briefly, or just take a moment before heading to security.

Simplified check-in steps and quicker access routes

  • Staff assist at dedicated service bars and baggage machines, so dropping off luggage becomes quicker and less confusing, especially during peak hours.
  • Premium guests arriving by car can now use the direct entrance from Parking Lot P31 beside the terminal, reducing walking distances and making the whole airport start more manageable.

Lufthansa’s refreshed spaces aim to cut the usual pressure of airport routines, giving Premium passengers a cleaner, calmer, and more predictable beginning to their trip. The layout is now clearer, the route is shorter, and staff are easier to reach, so moving through the airport takes less effort. People who pass through Frankfurt often will see that the space is now more practical and calmer, which makes the wait before boarding easier.
