Frankfurt Airport Adds Kuala Lumpur Flights and More UAE Options
Frankfurt Airport is adding nonstop flights to Kuala Lumpur, Sharjah and Agadir when its winter timetable begins on 25 October. Condor will also open a daily Abu Dhabi service, while Etihad increases flights to the UAE capital. Running until 27 March 2027, the season covers 80 airlines, 231 destinations in 92 countries and roughly 3,400 weekly departures. The changes include new options for Asian and North African trips.
New Winter Flights from Frankfurt
- Frankfurt–Kuala Lumpur - Lufthansa: From 25 October; five weekly; 21:30–16:40 next day.
- Frankfurt–Agadir - Discover Airlines: From 26 October; Mondays and Fridays, winter-only.
- Frankfurt–Abu Dhabi - Condor: From 4 November; daily, continuing to Bangkok.
- Frankfurt–Sharjah - Air Arabia: From 15 December; daily. Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun 13:25–22:50; Tue/Thu/Sat 21:05–06:30 next day.
- Frankfurt–Abu Dhabi - Etihad: Another daily flight from December; up to three daily with Condor.
Lufthansa's Kuala Lumpur route adds a nonstop option for reaching Malaysia, while Condor's service through Abu Dhabi should not be confused with its existing nonstop Frankfurt–Bangkok flights. Air Arabia's new route offers an alternative UAE arrival airport, although baggage charges and onward transport may change the total cost. Check the operating airline and any stopover when comparing flight options on the carriers' booking sites.
The Agadir service puts Morocco's Atlantic coast, including Taghazout's surfing beaches, within easier reach for winter breaks. Kuala Lumpur is a starting point for travel around Malaysia, while Abu Dhabi offers onward connections through Etihad's network. Frankfurt's broader changes include year-round Royal Air Maroc flights to Nador and increased Air India frequencies, bringing Delhi to 13 weekly flights and Mumbai to six.
Travellers heading to Dubai via Sharjah should check transfers carefully. Air Arabia's afternoon flight arrives only 40 minutes before the last listed airport coach to Dubai's Al Ghurair Centre; immigration and baggage collection could make that connection unrealistic. The coach costs AED 20, with services listed until 23:30, while taxis cost more. If you miss the last coach, you may need to take a taxi to Dubai.
