Saudi carrier Flynas has resumed nonstop flights linking Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) with Jeddah (JED). Flights operate three times per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, connecting Germany's capital area with the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. This route is included in a broader effort to strengthen direct international connections between Europe and the Middle East, with the network having steadily grown in recent years. The reinstated service improves travel convenience and reduces the overall journey time for passengers.

Flight schedule:

  • Berlin → Jeddah: Departure 21:40, arrival 04:50 next day
  • Jeddah → Berlin: Departure 16:00, arrival 20:50 same day

The flights are operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft, and the trip usually lasts just over six hours. This approach eliminates the need for travelers to make transfers at other airports. The simple schedule allows travelers going to Saudi Arabia or returning to Europe to choose between night and afternoon flights, making the journey more convenient.

With the restoration of this route, travelers now have direct access to the historic center of Jeddah and its cultural attractions. The historic Al-Balad district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, highlights a centuries-long history of trade. The city maintains its distinctive charm with winding streets, lively traditional markets, and coral stone houses adorned with typical wooden balconies. Outside the historic district, the Corniche promenade offers a modern waterfront where residents and visitors gather along the Red Sea coast.

Jeddah is also valued for its natural surroundings. The Red Sea coastline offers chances for snorkeling and diving, allowing visitors to explore coral reefs teeming with hundreds of marine species. Sites such as Bayadah Island are especially popular for water-based activities, while excursions into the nearby desert introduce visitors to striking landscapes. Jeddah’s combination of coastal and inland areas offers diverse attractions, appealing to travelers with many different interests and motivations.

The resumption of Berlin–Jeddah flights provides a convenient link between Germany and Saudi Arabia. For travelers, it reduces travel times, eliminates the need for layovers, and broadens access to destinations across the region. For the aviation market, it illustrates the ongoing diversification of international routes and the gradual strengthening of connections between Europe and the Middle East. This development is important for fostering cultural exchange and boosting tourism in the years ahead.
