Edinburgh–New York Flights Continue Through Winter With Delta
Delta Air Lines will operate flights between Edinburgh and New York (JFK) throughout the year, extending the route beyond its usual summer schedule. The airline plans to add three weekly services in January and February, allowing the connection between Scotland’s busiest airport and the United States to remain available during the winter season as well as the peak summer travel period.
The Edinburgh–New York route has previously operated on a seasonal basis, mainly during the months with higher travel demand. The decision to maintain the service year-round introduces additional travel options during a period when transatlantic flight choices are typically more limited. The change also strengthens links between Scotland and Delta’s wider network through its hub at New York’s JFK Airport.
Delta already operates seasonal routes between Edinburgh and other major US cities, including Atlanta and Boston, during the summer months. The continuation of the New York service through winter increases flexibility for journeys taking place outside peak travel periods. It also supports access to connecting flights within the United States through Delta’s hub system at JFK.
