Boardmasters 2024, set to take place in Newquay, Cornwall from August 7th to 11th, is gearing up to welcome thousands of festival goers. This year, the festival has introduced several eco-friendly travel options aimed at reducing environmental impact and enhancing the travel experience for attendees.

Festival organizers have emphasized the importance of sustainable travel by providing various coach services. Camping ticket holders can take advantage of the Boardmasters Coach Station, offering carbon-neutral travel from over 80 locations. This service not only ensures a hassle-free journey but also fosters a sense of community among travelers. Return tickets start at an affordable £72, making it a cost-effective option for many.

Day ticket holders are also catered for with dedicated coach travel packages. These packages include pickup from multiple locations across the South West, ensuring arrival before the music begins and departure after the headliners finish. This option simplifies travel logistics and reduces the stress of planning individual journeys.

For those opting to drive, the festival has limited onsite parking to encourage greener travel alternatives. While the Premium Onsite Car Park has sold out, the Park and Ride service offers a practical solution. With parking starting from £10 and a shuttle bus fare of £3.50 each way, it provides a budget-friendly alternative that helps to minimize traffic congestion around the festival site.

Newquay Shuttle Buses provide the quickest way to travel between Watergate Bay, where the music takes place, and Fistral Beach, known for surfing events. These buses can access closed roads, saving time and reducing traffic issues, with one-way tickets priced at £3.50.

Travelers arriving by train can utilize the shuttle service from Newquay station, while those flying in can benefit from the proximity of Cornwall Airport Newquay to the festival grounds. These options further enhance the accessibility of Boardmasters 2024 for both local and international attendees.

Boardmasters 2023 was a resounding success, featuring an eclectic mix of international stars and British music icons. The festival saw standout performances from acts like Florence + the Machine, Liam Gallagher, and Everything Everything, with festival goers enjoying a vibrant and diverse musical lineup. This successful run sets high expectations for this year's event, further encouraging travelers to take advantage of the newly introduced sustainable travel options.

For travelers, these new measures mean a more sustainable and community-oriented festival experience. The emphasis on eco-friendly travel not only aligns with broader environmental goals but also ensures that getting to and from the festival is straightforward and enjoyable. Whether choosing the convenience of coach travel, the efficiency of shuttle buses, or other public transport options, festival goers can look forward to a seamless journey that supports the environment.
