EasyJet passengers travelling through Italy could face delays or cancellations on Tuesday, 21 July, when the airline’s aircrew stage a nationwide 24-hour strike. The action comes during the peak summer season and may disrupt departures, arrivals and later aircraft rotations across the carrier’s Italian network. Anyone with a booking should check the latest flight status before leaving for the airport.

EasyJet Strike Times and Flight Cover

  • Airline: easyJet Airlines Limited
  • Date: Tuesday, 21 July 2026
  • Duration: 24 hours, 00:00–23:59
  • Scope: Nationwide walkout by easyJet aircrew in Italy
  • Protected departure periods: 07:00–10:00 and 18:00–21:00
  • Expected impact: Delays, cancellations and knock-on disruption
  • Guaranteed services: ENAC’s official flight list
  • Before travelling: Check the flight with easyJet, the booking agent or tour operator
  • Applies to: easyJet services operating through Italian airports

Separate four-hour stoppages involving GH Napoli and Sky Service staff in Naples and Salerno are scheduled between 10:00 and 14:00 on the same day. ENAC has also named services that must operate, including selected Naples–Cagliari and Malpensa–Catania flights, plus Malpensa departures to Lampedusa, Cape Verde and Hurghada. Other easyJet services may still run, depending on how many employees join the walkout.

Anyone booked with easyJet on 21 July should treat the original timetable as provisional until the airline confirms otherwise. Keep booking details and receipts, and use the carrier’s official channels before buying replacement travel independently. If a flight is cancelled, passengers must be offered reimbursement or rerouting, while compensation may also apply because the industrial action involves the airline’s own staff.

The disruption may affect trips built around Italy’s major summer gateways, including Milan, Naples and airports serving Sardinia and Sicily. Missed arrivals could reduce time for city breaks, ferry connections or island stays, while delays at Naples may complicate onward journeys to the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Pompeii. Travellers with tightly timed rail, ferry or attraction bookings should allow more room between each part of the journey.
