easyJet Restarts Hamburg–Geneva Flights After Six-Year Gap
easyJet has brought back direct flights between Hamburg and Geneva, restoring a route it last operated in 2020. The service resumed on 3 September 2026 and gives northern Germany a non-stop link to south-western Switzerland again. The airline is also preparing two more Hamburg launches this autumn, with Prague and Seville joining the schedule and taking its network at the airport to nine direct destinations.
Hamburg easyJet Routes to Watch
- Hamburg–Geneva: Relaunched 3 September 2026; twice weekly; Thursday 14:00 and Sunday 19:10 at launch; around 1 hour 40 minutes; fares advertised from €34.
- Hamburg–Prague: Starts 26 October 2026; twice weekly; Monday 10:20 and Friday 18:40; around two hours.
- Hamburg–Seville: Starts 30 October 2026; once weekly outbound on Friday at 09:20; return flight on Monday at 15:45; around 3 hours 30 minutes.
- Airline: easyJet.
- Network: The three additions take easyJet to nine direct destinations from Hamburg Airport.
Tickets can be checked through easyJet or travel agents. The €34 Geneva starting fare includes one small under-seat cabin bag up to 45 x 36 x 20cm and 15kg; larger cabin bags and hold luggage cost extra. In Geneva, the railway station sits beneath the airport terminal, with trains reaching Genève-Cornavin in around seven minutes; a Zone 10 ticket costs CHF3.
Geneva also works well as a starting point beyond the city. Direct trains from the airport continue to Lausanne, Montreux and Vevey, while the city itself offers Lake Geneva, the Old Town and its international district. Regional coaches also connect the airport with French Alpine towns and ski areas, including destinations across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, making the route useful for city breaks and mountain trips.
The twice-weekly service gives Hamburg travellers a direct option again, but check the timetable for your exact dates rather than relying on the launch-day pattern. It removes the need for a connecting flight when the schedule fits. The €34 fare is a starting price rather than a fixed rate, so comparing nearby dates is worthwhile before booking accommodation or Alpine transfers.
