The Genesis Scottish Open is set to return from July 11th to 14th in North Berwick, offering golf enthusiasts and travelers an exciting opportunity to witness top-tier competition. This year, visitors can expect seamless travel to the event, thanks to direct bus services provided by East Coast Buses.

East Coast Buses will offer two direct routes to The Renaissance Club on the A199. Service 124 will operate every 30 minutes daily between Edinburgh and North Berwick via Musselburgh, while Service X5 will run every 60 minutes from Monday to Saturday during the daytime, connecting Edinburgh and North Berwick.

Travelers planning to attend the event are encouraged to prepare ahead, as buses around the event are expected to be busy. Allocating extra time for journeys will help avoid any delays and ensure a smooth travel experience.

For those traveling from Edinburgh city centre, the fare for a single adult ticket is £4.00, while a child’s single ticket is £2.00. The CountryPLUS Day ticket, offering unlimited daytime journeys in all East Coast Buses zones and valid on Lothian and Edinburgh Trams in the city zone, is available for £8.50 for adults and £4.25 for children. The Network Dayticket, providing unlimited journeys across the network, including the airport and following morning’s night services, costs £12.00 for adults and £6.00 for children. NEC holders, including disabled individuals, those over 60, and under-22s, can travel for free.

For travelers starting from North Berwick, a single adult ticket is priced at £3.00 and a child’s single ticket at £1.50. The County Day Ticket, valid for unlimited daytime journeys in zones b-f, is £5.50 for adults and £2.75 for children. The CountyPLUS Day Ticket, which covers all ECB zones and includes Lothian and Edinburgh Trams in the city zone, costs £8.50 for adults and £4.25 for children. The Network Dayticket remains available at £12.00 for adults and £6.00 for children, with NEC holders traveling free.

This enhanced transportation option means that travelers can enjoy the scenic journey from Edinburgh or North Berwick without the hassle of driving or parking. The convenience and affordability of the bus services make it an attractive choice for visitors, allowing them to focus on the excitement of the Scottish Open.

All services accept contactless payments, making it even easier for travelers to hop on a bus and head to the event. For more detailed information on tickets and fares from various locations, visitors can check the East Coast Buses website.
