Duty Free Americas (DFA), a prominent duty-free retailer, has recently inaugurated three specialty stores at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), notably including the first-ever Toys“R"Us travel retail store. This expansion brings DFA's total operational stores at DFW to seven, significantly enriching the retail landscape of the airport, which caters to approximately 73 million passengers annually.

According to traveldailynews, the ribbon-cutting ceremony held on January 17, 2024, was a notable event, graced by Denise Erickson, Vice President of DFA's Airport Division, and key figures from DFW Airport - Ken Buchanan, Executive Vice President Customer Experience and Revenue Management, Zenola Campbell, Vice President Concessions, and Pamela Housley, Concessions Manager. Joining them were representatives from LEGO and Toys“R"Us, celebrating their brand store inaugurations at this strategic location. Ronnie Harris, CEO & President of RS Harris LLC, was also present at the event.

The addition of these stores marks a milestone in DFA's retail portfolio. Toys“R"Us and The LEGO Group, renowned for their appeal to children and adults alike, offer a unique shopping experience to airport visitors. SHADE, DFA's first sunglasses store in the USA, presents a diverse collection of lifestyle and luxury eyewear, enhancing the shopping variety at DFW.

This expansion coincides with DFW Airport’s 50th anniversary, adding significance to the event. Joseph Falic, Vice President of Duty Free Americas, expressed excitement about the openings, emphasizing their alignment with DFW Airport's celebration of half a century in American aviation. He also acknowledged the partnership with Toys“R"Us, SHADE, and The LEGO Group, highlighting DFA's role in their regional growth strategies.

Ken Buchanan of DFW echoed the enthusiasm, noting that the inclusion of these iconic brands enhances the airport's customer experience. He underscored DFW's commitment to offering exceptional experiences to travelers, with the addition of Toys“R"Us, LEGO, and SHADE augmenting the airport's dynamic retail portfolio.

These new stores at DFW not only expand Duty Free Americas' presence but also symbolize a fusion of travel and retail innovation, promising an enriched shopping experience for the millions of travelers passing through the airport each year.
