Symi, a small yet captivating island in Greece, boasts beautiful beaches and plenty of activities for tourists. Nestled off Greece's west coast and east of Tilos, Symi is part of the Dodecanese island group and is renowned for its charming houses and stunning beaches.

The island's main town, also named Symi, is divided into two sections: Gialos, near the harbor, and Chorio, which sits on the hillside. Visitors can explore local attractions such as the Roloi clock tower, the statue of the fisher boy Michalaki, the town hall, and the Naval Museum. Reaching Symi requires a boat or ferry from mainland Greece. Travelers typically depart from Athens’ Piraeus port to reach this island. Once there, they experience summer temperatures averaging around 26°C in June and rising to 28°C in July and August, ideal for enjoying the island's beaches.

Saint George Bay and Nanou Beach are among the most celebrated spots on Symi. Saint George Bay is praised for its clear blue waters and dramatic cliffs, creating a unique and vibrant atmosphere. Nanou Beach, with its turquoise waters perfect for snorkeling, also boasts a taverna known for its fresh cuisine and friendly goats.
