Delta Enhances Inflight Dining and Meal Options for Summer Travelers
Delta Air Lines is updating its inflight offerings for summer 2025, with particular attention to long-haul and international flights. Passengers flying in Delta One and Delta Comfort cabins will now encounter revised meal options, refreshed wine offerings, and increased opportunities to select meals in advance. Arriving amid heightened travel demand, these updates reflect a larger trend in the airline industry toward personalizing inflight experiences.
Among the current updates, Delta has introduced several service changes across different cabins:
- Seasonal dishes now featured in Delta One, including spinach and ricotta rotolo and artichoke ravioli;
- Expanded international service between New York and Catania, where the new menu is available;
- Advance meal selection now accessible in Delta Comfort on transoceanic and Hawaii-bound routes;
- Pre-order choices include chipotle chicken and mushroom mezzaluna, available up to seven days before departure.

These changes aim to enhance comfort and consistency for passengers on longer trips. The option to select meals in advance is now available for Delta Comfort customers on transoceanic and long-haul Hawaii flights with meal service. Customers can choose between chipotle chicken and mushroom mezzaluna, with meal selection available starting seven days before departure through an email link or the Fly Delta app. Selections must be completed at least 24 hours prior to departure.
Farmer’s Fridge meals are now the standard fresh option on flights over 1,500 miles departing from Los Angeles. Offerings vary by time of day and include items such as pesto pasta bowls, falafel with hummus, and cranberry almond chicken salad. Shake Shack’s cheeseburger is available in Delta First on select routes over 900 miles across 13 markets, served with crinkle cut chips and a dark chocolate brownie. Cheez-It crackers and Garden Salsa SunChips have also been added to the snack selection, alongside the Biscoff cookie.
The latest changes reflect gradual enhancements aimed at improving the inflight experience, with a particular focus on long-haul and international travel. Delta is adapting to shifting passenger needs by increasing meal variety and introducing seasonal offerings, helping travelers have more control and a smoother experience during their journeys.
