China Eastern Airlines is expanding its European network with the introduction of three new direct routes from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Beginning mid-June, flights will be launched to Geneva on June 16, Milan on June 20, and Copenhagen on July 17. All routes will be operated with wide-body aircraft equipped with high-speed onboard internet, giving travelers the ability to remain online throughout their flight.

The newly announced services will operate several times a week, offering a more streamlined alternative for those traveling between China and Western Europe. Thanks to direct flights and quicker routes, travelers can skip the usual airport hopping and get from point A to B with a lot less hassle. The Milan route will run daily, while Geneva and Copenhagen will see three to four weekly flights, helping meet growing demand for transcontinental mobility.

With fewer steps between departure and arrival, these connections lead straight into three distinct parts of Europe, where daily routines follow their own pace and character that become clear once you're there. For those arriving in Shanghai, the city presents a clear view of how modern life coexists with history. Traditional landmarks such as Yu Garden and Longhua Temple are located near business hubs filled with glass towers. Visitors can explore local street markets and upscale districts within the same day. With direct flights now in place, planning a trip becomes less complicated and more time-efficient.

These flights open the door to three very different corners of Europe, where everyday life has its own rhythm and style waiting to be noticed. In Copenhagen, travelers can move easily on foot or by bike while passing a mix of historic sites and contemporary buildings. The city is recognized for its neat appearance, easy-to-reach public spaces and a calm way of life. Geneva combines scenic lakeside views with proximity to the Alps and remains a base for many global institutions. Each city offers a chance to experience Europe through its routines and surroundings rather than fixed tourist routes.

By adding these routes, China Eastern is showing it wants to make trips between Asia and Europe quicker and simpler for everyone. Shanghai now connects directly to 15 cities in Europe, making it an even more important starting point for travelers heading west. More direct flights give travelers the chance to plan with fewer surprises, save time, and reach more destinations without dealing with extra stops or confusing airport changes along the way.
