Celestyal Cruises Expands into Persian Gulf with Year-Round Sailings

In an exciting expansion of its cruise offerings, Celestyal Cruises, renowned for its Greek island voyages, has announced a new Persian Gulf program. Starting in November 2024, the program features seven-night sailings aboard the Celestyal Journey, enhancing the company's already robust cruise portfolio.

Departing from Doha, Qatar, the "Desert Days" cruises mark Celestyal's maiden voyage into the Persian Gulf. These week-long cruises are a first for the company, calling at notable destinations including Bahrain, Dubai, Khasab in Oman, Sir Bani Yas Island, and Abu Dhabi. The inaugural sailing is scheduled for November 9, 2024, on the 1,260-passenger Celestyal Journey, a recent addition to the fleet since September 2023.

Post-January 18, 2025, Celestyal plans to offer a variety of itineraries ranging from three to seven nights, lasting until April 2025. In parallel, Celestyal Discovery, joining the fleet this year, will embark on a "Three Continents" cruise from November 2024 to March 2025. This journey will encompass Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Israel, and Egypt, showcasing the diversity of Celestyal's cruise experiences.

Lee Haslett, Celestyal's Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the company's growth and diversification in a media call on Tuesday (January 9). Known primarily for its Greek islands and Eastern Mediterranean cruises, Celestyal is branching out to cater to its customers' growing demand for more global destinations and varied itineraries. The Persian Gulf cruises, commencing in Doha and featuring a mix of well-known and unique destinations, symbolize this strategic expansion.

"We are finding our sea legs on a more global stage," Haslett stated, highlighting the refreshed fleet, new countries, and global ports added to the company's offerings. This move is set to redefine Celestyal's presence in the cruise industry, extending beyond the Mediterranean and into the Persian Gulf, offering travelers a chance to discover more with Celestyal.
