The Celebrity Edge set sail from Seattle, marking its debut in Alaskan waters for the summer season. The revolutionary ship, known for its outward-facing design, embarked on a seven-night roundtrip journey with stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway, offering passengers views of Alaskan glaciers.

This season, Celebrity Edge plans to redefine Alaskan cruises with its innovative features. Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, emphasized the ship’s unique ability to enhance guests’ connection with Alaska’s wilderness through its design and amenities.

From May to September 2024, Celebrity Edge will offer both roundtrip cruises from Seattle and one-way trips between Vancouver and Seattle, lasting from six to seven nights. Highlights include the iconic Magic Carpet, a cantilevered platform that offers new ways to dine and view wildlife, and Infinite Veranda cabins that bring guests closer to the sea.

Guests aboard the Celebrity Edge will visit Ketchikan, known as the "Salmon Capital of the World," the wildlife-rich Endicott Arm, Alaska’s capital Juneau, and Skagway, before heading to Victoria and returning to Seattle. These routes are designed to provide an immersive experience of Alaska’s natural beauty and local culture.

One key project is the Ketchikan Salmon Walk, a nearly two-mile educational trail developed in partnership with the Tongass Historical Museum. Additionally, Celebrity Cruises sources local products and collaborates with local companies to offer guests an authentic Alaskan experience.
