British Airways Launches BA Better World Initiative with Aim for Carbon Neutrality

British Airways has introduced an initiative called BA Better World to make flying more sustainable and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The company has begun replacing older aircraft with new models that consume less fuel and are more efficient. Additionally, British Airways plans to use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), made from recycled materials like used cooking oil, with the goal of replacing up to 10% of traditional fuel by 2030.

In the long term, British Airways is developing plans to create aircraft with zero carbon emissions and to implement hydrogen systems for short-haul flights by 2035. The company also supports projects aimed at removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and protecting natural ecosystems.
