Brawl Breaks Out Among Carnival Cruise Ship Passengers at Buffet

An unexpected scuffle occurred on the final day of a Carnival Cruise Line Paradise voyage, leading to chaos in the buffet area.The altercation disrupted the peaceful end to the trip, leaving passengers and crew in disarray.

The incident unfolded at 3 a.m., when passengers clashed in the buffet area of the ship. Video captured by an uninvolved passenger showed a chaotic scene where chairs were thrown and punches were exchanged. According to this witness, approximately 10 to 15 people were involved, exchanging heated words before the physical confrontation began.

"Carnival Paradise’s security team intervened in an incident that took place on June 6," spokesperson Matt Lupoli stated in an email. "As is our policy, we will not tolerate such behavior, and the guests involved were fined and will not sail on Carnival Cruise Line again."

The passenger who recorded the brawl emphasized that it was an isolated incident. Nevertheless, physical confrontations on cruise ships and airplanes have become disturbingly frequent. In 2022, a similar brawl on a Carnival cruise led the company to announce stricter measures, including fines for unruly passengers. This latest incident underscores the ongoing challenges cruise lines face in maintaining order and safety on board.
