Bratislava Gets Three New Wizz Air Routes
Bratislava Airport has added three Wizz Air routes for the summer season, giving passengers more direct options to Israel, Montenegro and Greece. The airline launched its new Tel Aviv service on 28 May 2026, while Podgorica began a week earlier. Mykonos will follow on 8 June, adding a Greek island route before the main holiday rush begins.
Dates and frequencies
The timetable gives passengers a mix of city, coastal and island options across the summer season:
- Tel Aviv: from 28 May, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday
- Podgorica: summer-season flights until 24 October
- Mykonos: from 8 June until 23 October, every Monday and Friday
All three routes will use Airbus A321neo aircraft with 239 seats.
Bratislava Airport expects the Tel Aviv route to bring more visitors from Israel to the Bratislava region. Daniel Kulla from the airport’s aviation business department said early rotations already show high load factors. The airport also expects interest in trips to Israel to rise if the situation in the Middle East continues to calm, while Arkia Israeli Airlines is returning with charter flights.
The new routes give Slovakia-based travellers easier access to three very different trips. Tel Aviv opens the door to Israel’s coastal city breaks, Podgorica works for longer weekends or holidays in Montenegro, and Mykonos adds a direct route to the Cyclades, with its whitewashed streets, beaches and windmills. The mix suits both short breaks and longer summer holidays without changing planes.
For Bratislava, the update adds more variety to the summer route map beyond the usual western European choices. It also gives local passengers a better reason to start their trip at home, rather than first travelling to Vienna or another hub. The route mix is useful, but its staying power will depend on whether bookings remain strong after the early launch period.
