Ryanair confirmed its Summer 2026 schedule for the Balearic Islands, including three new routes from Palma de Mallorca and more frequent flights on selected routes. The airline plans to operate 79 routes from Palma, including new connections to Friedrichshafen in Germany, Gdansk in Poland and Malta. Weekly departures from Palma are expected to reach 715 flights, which is 2% more than during the previous summer season.

More flights are also planned from Ibiza, where Ryanair will operate 33 routes and 226 weekly departures, reflecting an 8% increase in activity. Connections between Ibiza and cities such as London, Marseille and Rome are scheduled more often. Menorca will be served by 18 routes with 90 weekly flights, maintaining links with mainland Spain and other European destinations.

The airline states that the expanded programme reflects sustained demand for travel to Mediterranean destinations during the summer period. Ryanair also raised concerns regarding the proposed increase in airport charges by Spanish operator Aena, warning that higher fees could affect airline decisions on capacity allocation in future seasons. According to the airline, airport charges influence how many routes are offered, as well as tourism levels and related employment.

Destinations With Expanded Connections

  • Friedrichshafen
  • Gdansk
  • Malta
  • Naples
  • Warsaw
  • Zagreb

More flights this summer improve connections to the Balearic Islands, with Palma, Ibiza and Menorca remaining the main arrival airports. The routes link the islands with coastal towns, smaller settlements and historic locations across the region. More frequent departures can give more choice of travel dates during the summer season, when Mediterranean destinations are especially popular.

The summer timetable includes many connections to the Balearic Islands, reflecting continued interest in travel to Mediterranean destinations. Airlines may review flight numbers depending on operating costs and airport charges. Future schedules can change if airport fees increase, as these costs influence how airlines plan routes and decide where to place aircraft during the summer season.
