American Airlines has announced the addition of eight new routes to Latin America and the Caribbean for the upcoming winter season. This expansion includes new services from major hubs such as Charlotte (CLT), New York (JFK), and Philadelphia (PHL), significantly enhancing the airline's regional connectivity.

Starting in December, American Airlines will introduce flights to La Romana (LRM) in the Dominican Republic, increasing its presence in the country. The airline will also be the only U.S. carrier flying to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) and La Romana. This winter, American will operate over 2,350 peak weekly flights to more than 95 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, surpassing all other U.S. airlines in the region.

The new routes include daily flights from New York (JFK) to Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI), and St. Lucia (UVF), as well as from Philadelphia (PHL) to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR). Additionally, American Airlines will increase the frequency of flights on 16 popular routes, such as daily services from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Grand Cayman (GCM) and expanded service from Miami (MIA) to Cancun (CUN) during peak travel periods.

Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, highlighted the airline's commitment to providing more travel options to its customers. "We are excited to continue growing our network to the region with more flights this winter to the Caribbean and Latin America than any other U.S. carrier," Znotins said.

Tickets for these new routes will be available for sale starting May 20, allowing travelers to plan their winter trips in advance.
