Air Transat Expands Winter Map With New Sun Routes and Year-Round Europe Flights
Air Transat has introduced the first phase of its winter 2026–2027 schedule, adding four new routes and extending selected European services to operate throughout the year. The airline will launch flights between Quebec City and San José, Toronto and Fort-de-France, London (Ontario) and Puerto Plata, as well as Charlottetown and Punta Cana. The programme reflects continued interest in winter sun destinations alongside stable demand for transatlantic travel options.
Two previously seasonal European connections, Toronto–Paris and Montreal–Barcelona, will now operate year-round. The airline is also increasing frequencies on selected leisure routes, including Fort-de-France and Cancún from Quebec City. In addition, the Québec City–Nantes service, planned for summer launch, will continue through the winter holiday season. These adjustments expand travel options across both leisure and visiting-friends travel segments.
Operations at regional airports are also growing. New routes from London (Ontario) and Charlottetown add further access to Caribbean destinations, building on existing links to Cancún and Punta Cana. Air Transat also confirmed the return of winter flights to Fort Lauderdale, with services planned from Montreal, Quebec City and Halifax. The schedule supports departures from several cities across Eastern Canada without the need for major hub transfers.

The updated timetable spreads travel choices more evenly across the year instead of focusing mainly on peak periods.
