Adelaide Gains Direct Flights to Bali, Unlocking Wider Asian Travel Options
Starting June 26, 2025, Indonesia AirAsia introduced direct Adelaide-Bali flights, giving South Australians greater choice when traveling abroad. Four flights operate each week in both directions, with the airline deploying Airbus A320-200 planes seating 180 passengers. This new route raises Adelaide Airport’s annual seat capacity by more than 74,000 and reinforces Bali’s standing as a crucial transit hub within AirAsia’s broad network of more than 130 destinations throughout Asia.
Flights between Adelaide and Bali will operate four times a week in each direction, providing regular service both to and from the destinations. The new connection to Adelaide is Indonesia AirAsia’s debut direct flight on this route, making travel more straightforward by removing layovers elsewhere in Australia. The service makes traveling to Bali more convenient and opens up easy connections to numerous other cities across Asia through AirAsia’s network.
Access to important Indonesian destinations is now more convenient for travelers with this new service. In Jakarta, popular spots include the lively Ancol Dreamland park and the picturesque Thousand Islands just off the coast. The area around Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta is famous for its scenery, complemented by the historic Prambanan Temple nearby.
