A New 182-Room Retreat Opens in Ibiza’s North
A new 182-room retreat has opened in Portinatx, on Ibiza’s quieter northern coast. Nômade Temple Ibiza is the brand’s second European property and sits beside a secluded beach, around 40 minutes by car from Ibiza Airport. The hotel combines accommodation with wellness, music and dining, while keeping parts of the former resort’s arches and terraces as part of the redesign.
What Nômade Temple Ibiza Includes
- Location: Portinatx, northern Ibiza
- Size: 182 rooms
- Status: Open as of August 2026
- Beach: Direct access to a secluded beach
- Airport: Around 40 minutes by car
- Wellness: Hammams, dry saunas, cold plunges, treatments and a mineral-water flotation tank
- Dining: KUU JŪ, TAVLA, 4FU3GOS, Café Libre and Dante’s Hifi
- Programme: Retreats, music, creative events and other experiences throughout the year
The hotel’s food and wellness offer is spread across several venues. KUU JŪ serves Japanese-style omakase using Mediterranean ingredients, while 4FU3GOS focuses on seafood by the beach and Dante’s Hifi works as a listening bar. The GÖN House of Healing includes hammams, dry saunas, cold plunges, treatment rooms and a warm mineral-water flotation tank. Retreats, artist residencies and events are planned throughout the year.
Staying in Portinatx also puts several northern Ibiza spots within easier reach. Cala Xarraca is about five minutes away by car, while Benirràs Beach is around 25 minutes away. Santa Eulària is roughly half an hour away, and Ibiza Town’s UNESCO-listed Dalt Vila can be reached in about 40 minutes, giving guests a mix of quieter coves and day trips south.
For anyone choosing where to stay, the main trade-off is location. Portinatx puts the north coast, small coves and walking routes close by, but Ibiza Town and the airport are both around 40 minutes away by car. The new hotel therefore suits trips built mainly around the north of the island, with occasional journeys south, rather than a stay centred on Ibiza Town every day.
