Some airports have a bad reputation due to frequent cases of damage or loss of passengers' luggage. The absolute leader in the United States is John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The anti-rating was compiled by Forbes Advisor using data from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The experts analyzed the number of property damage and baggage loss claims per 100,000 domestic passengers, the percentage of property damage claims that were fully compensated, and the percentage of property loss claims that were fully compensated.
The 100 busiest airports in the United States were taken into account. Each of them was rated on a 100-point scale, with 100 representing the highest level of lost and damaged baggage.
