Norwegian has confirmed that direct flights between Vilnius and Stockholm Arlanda will continue during the winter aviation season, turning the route into a year-round service. Previously operated only in summer, the connection will now run throughout the year, with three to four weekly flights during the summer season and two weekly departures during winter. The route continues due to steady passenger numbers between Lithuania and Sweden throughout the year.

Demand between Lithuania and Sweden remains steady, which has led to the decision to continue flights during the winter season. Regular departures between Vilnius and Stockholm will now be available throughout the year. The route can be used for work trips, holidays or personal visits, including during colder months when flight options are usually fewer.

Norwegian continues to operate additional routes connecting Lithuania and Norway, including flights between Vilnius and Oslo, as well as Palanga with Oslo and Bergen. Lithuanian Airports reports ongoing growth in passenger numbers, with Vilnius Airport handling more than 5.11 million travellers in 2025, representing a 6.4% increase compared with the previous year. Passenger numbers were also high in early 2026.

  • Palanga – Bergen

Year-round flights between Vilnius and Stockholm allow travel in both summer and winter. The connection links two capitals with regular demand for business and personal trips. Winter departures provide an additional option for those who prefer travelling outside the busy summer period, when flight schedules are usually fuller and prices can be higher.

The year-round route keeps regular air links between Lithuania and Scandinavia across different seasons. A stable schedule allows trips outside the peak summer period, when flight options are usually more limited. Growing passenger traffic at Vilnius Airport shows continued movement between Lithuania, Sweden and Norway, supported by existing routes operated by the airline.
