Vienna Airport is set to enhance its global connectivity with the launch of its summer 2025 schedule, adding new direct flights to major international destinations. The program, running from March 30 to October 26, will include 190 routes, strengthening Vienna’s status as a key European hub. Austrian Airlines will introduce new connections to Lofoten, Edinburgh, Sylt, and Burgas while resuming long-haul services to Los Angeles and Tokyo. Meanwhile, Ryanair and Wizz Air are expanding their networks, and Scoot will introduce a direct link to Singapore.

With increased frequency on existing routes and the introduction of new destinations, the schedule provides more options for seamless international travel. Ryanair is adding flights to Salerno, boosting its total Vienna destinations to over 80, while Wizz Air will begin operating flights to Tuzla and Sibiu. Condor will establish a base in Vienna with daily flights to Frankfurt, offering smoother connections to long-haul destinations. Additionally, airlines such as EasyJet, Saudia, and Air Albania are reinstating or launching new services, further diversifying Vienna’s flight network.

This is unleashing the possibility of exploring a wide array of destinations with high convenience. Scoot will offer the direct Vienna-Singapore route which makes it easier for travellers to reach cities in the region, including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. Likewise, Austrian Airlines is now again flying to Los Angeles and Tokyo that eliminates layovers and makes trans-continental travel more direct/manageable.

Europe’s cultural and leisure hotspots are also more reachable than ever. New routes to Edinburgh, Sylt, and Burgas present diverse travel experiences, from historic cityscapes to scenic coastal retreats. Ryanair meanwhile spreads its wings to Salerno, meaning there is direct service to the Italian Amalfi Coast — another highly desirable part of Italy that is famed for its views and Mediterranean style. Travelers can now enjoy shorter journey times and improved accessibility to these locations.

Vienna Airport extending its summer schedule shows a general trend of more travel demand internationally. By offering new direct connections and enhancing existing routes, Vienna is strengthening its position as a vital transit point for global travelers. These evolutions do not just improve connectivity but also effectiveness making passengers have more travel options and better opportunities when planning their travel.
