According to the latest statistics, Turkey has surpassed Spain to become the most favored summer vacation destination among Germans. The German Tourist Association (DRV) reported that by the end of January, the number of early bookings in Germany had increased by 30% compared to the previous year.
These bookings not only exceeded the figures recorded in the summer of 2019 by 11%, but also remained 17% lower than in the peak period before the pandemic. It was emphasized that for the upcoming summer, Turkey has become the most popular choice among the top 10 holiday destinations booked by Germans, as reported by Travel And Tour World.

Turkey was followed by Spain, Greece, and Egypt in popularity, as stated by the association. This shift in German vacation preferences toward Turkey could significantly bolster the tourism sector, potentially leading to increased cultural exchanges and economic benefits for Turkey.
