Fake videos claiming to show Capital A and AirAsia executives backing each other are spreading fast online. Fake videos claiming to show Capital A and AirAsia executives backing each other are spreading fast online. According to one video, customers who make a little initial payment can earn up to RM16,800 every week. The use of realistic graphics and deepfake technology makes these scams appear legitimate, increasing the risk of people falling for them.

Capital A has confirmed that these videos are entirely fake and unauthorized. The company stated that it has no involvement in any investment platforms and that its brand is being misused without consent. It advised the public not to interact with the content and to verify any messages that mention AirAsia or its executives. All official information will only be released through verified websites and social media accounts owned by the company.

These scams pose a serious risk to travelers who rely on digital communication from airlines and travel services. When fraudsters use trusted logos and public figures to push false financial opportunities, it creates confusion and breaks down trust. A traveler might mistake a scam for a real offer from a loyalty program or promotional campaign, especially if it appears professionally made.

With more people managing trips through apps and online tools, the travel community becomes a growing target for online fraud. Scammers are targeting travelers hunting for deals, blurring the line between real offers and fakes. To be safe, passengers should only use the airline's official channels and refrain from visiting on unknown websites or disclosing personal information.

This incident serves as a warning that digital vigilance is now a part of modern travel. Verifying flight information is no longer as crucial as identifying fake content. Staying informed protects not only your finances but also your confidence when navigating digital travel services. Trust remains essential in travel, and protecting it starts with awareness.
