Tokyo presents the largest light show of its kind
Tokyo debuted a light show called Tokyo Night & Light. Locals and visitors could watch this colourful spectacle on the eastern facade of the Tokyo government headquarters on an area of approximately 14,000 square metres from the 4th to the 32nd floors.
The show was recognized as the largest in the world by the Guinness Book of Records. This was reported by The Japan Times.
It is noted that electricity generated by solar energy is mainly used to broadcast this spectacle. Local authorities said that people can watch the show until April from 19:00.
In total, 5 permanent performances are planned to be shown. They will be changed to thematic ones on weekends and holidays. According to Tokyo Mayor Yuriko Koike, she hopes that this art will become a new attraction of the city.
Earlier, TravelWise reported that Japan was named the new most popular destination in 2024.
