The themed cruise "Love Boat" will set sail later this year
Princess Cruises, whose ships served as the backdrop for favorite TV shows of the 1970s and '80s, will offer the itinerary in August. This is the second cruise of the Love Boat line after its first trip in 2022 and will feature members of the original cast.
The week-long cruise will depart from New York roundtrip on August 31. The journey will take place on the Enchanted Princess ship with a capacity of 3,660 passengers. It was launched in 2021. It is reported by news.yahoo.com.
"We had so much fun interacting with fans on our themed cruise in 2022, so bringing it back in 2024 seems like a no-brainer, especially with the addition of some surprise guests. Sailing with our fans brings us so much joy, and this cruise will undoubtedly be a special reunion that takes us back to where it all began - on a Princess cruise," says Jill Whelan, who played Vicki Stabing on the show.
The ship will visit Newport, Rhode Island; Boston; Rockland, Maine; and St. John and Halifax in Canada.
Along the way, guests will meet the cast, including Whelan; Bernie Copell, who played Dr. Adam "Doc" Bricker; Fred Grandy, who played Gopher the marshal; and Ted Lange, who played Isaac the bartender. Ezra Freeman, a bartender from The Love Boat, a reality dating show inspired by the original series, will also be on hand.
Activities include a sailing party, photo and book signings, and a cocktail demonstration hosted by Lange and Freeman. Passengers can also test their knowledge in the "Love Boat" quizzes and even take part in a symbolic vow renewal ceremony organized by the stars, among other programs.
The line will also offer a VIP package that will give guests access to a cocktail party with the cast, move them to the front of the line for photos and autographs, and other perks.
According to the line's website, the price of the trip currently starts at USD 568 per person for double occupancy. The cruise price includes themed events, many restaurants on board, entertainment, etc.
