Teleport and VietJet Air Cargo Strengthen Ties with Exclusive Rights for Key Trade Lane
Teleport, a leading logistics solutions provider, has secured exclusive commercial rights to manage the cargo space for VietJet Air Cargo's New Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City route. Announced, this collaboration builds on Teleport’s existing credentials gained through managing similar operations for AirAsia since 2018.
The agreement marks a pivotal moment for both companies as they aim to enhance cargo services across Southeast Asia. This development follows their November 2023 Memorandum of Understanding, which was focused on expanding their network synergy, combining Vietjet’s extensive Asia Pacific routes with Teleport's robust Southeast Asian logistics network.
Nelson Wu, Managing Director of Vietjet Air Cargo, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership. "This collaboration enables us to leverage Teleport's proven cargo management skills and technologies, ensuring our aircraft maximally utilize cargo space on the New Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City sector," said Wu. He highlighted that the integration of hubs across major Southeast Asian cities will significantly enhance their service offerings and market reach.
The Delhi-Ho Chi Minh City route operates four times weekly, offering expanded connectivity to additional major cargo destinations including Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland, thereby promising enhanced service options for the burgeoning cargo demand in and out of Southeast Asia. This strategic alliance not only bolsters their operational capabilities but also supports the growth of e-commerce and other sectors reliant on efficient air cargo services.
