At least 50 people have been killed in the United States due to the bad weather that has been raging for a week. Most of the fatalities occurred on roads covered with ice and snow.
Currently, local residents are being warned that the weather has not yet subsided and they need to prepare for new winter shocks, Yahoo reports.
The snow storm hit several parts of the country at once, including the Pacific Northwest, the Rocky Mountains, and some parts of New England. Near Buffalo, about 1.9 meters of snow fell in five days. The cold temperatures have spread to the southern United States, which usually does not experience such winter weather.
