Some camping spots at Trail Creek Campground close to Barry’s Landing in Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area have been briefly shut down because of dangerous trees. After a safety review, park personnel found lifeless and broken branches that might present hazards to guests. Only impacted sites are closed, while other tent and RV sections stay accessible to reduce inconvenience for visitors.

The park administration intends to eliminate the hazardous trees by the beginning of the 2025 summer camping period, with the goal of reinstating complete access to the tent areas. In the meantime, guests are advised to utilize the unaffected spots at Trail Creek Campground, guaranteeing that secure choices are still accessible for camping in Bighorn Canyon.

Yellowstone National Park has likewise initiated its yearly winter road shutdowns, which commenced on November 1. The Western, Southern, and Eastern entry points are now shut to standard vehicles, permitting park authorities to ready the roads for snowmobiles and snowcoaches, which will be accessible beginning December 15. Nonetheless, the Northern and Northeastern entry points remain accessible for visitors equipped for winter weather. Tourists can consult the park's road map for up-to-date travel conditions.

The winter season in Yellowstone provides a range of leisure activities, including skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling, along with the opportunity to view Old Faithful blanketed in snow. However, numerous amenities, such as shops, dining areas, and camping grounds, will be shut down during winter. Guests are encouraged to verify operating dates beforehand to more effectively organize their visit, as services may be restricted in some locations.

As Yellowstone and the nearby Bighorn Canyon adapt to seasonal changes, visitors are advised to stay informed and plan their trips accordingly for a safe and enjoyable experience. While some sites and routes are temporarily closed for maintenance and safety, ample opportunities for winter recreation and camping remain available in designated areas. Checking current conditions and available amenities in advance will help travelers make the most of their visit.
