The SAS flight urgently landed due to mass nausea on board
A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight from Spain to Sweden made an emergency landing midway through the route because many people on board suddenly started vomiting.
The incident took place on an evening flight from Malaga, Spain, to Stockholm, with approximately 140 people on board. During the flight, several passengers and crew members began experiencing severe nausea for no apparent reason, as reported by Aftonbladet.
"It was decided to land in Copenhagen for precautionary reasons, as the team chose not to take any risks in case there was any issue with the plane or otherwise," commented the airline's spokeswoman.
The landing in Copenhagen proceeded without incident. Passengers were accommodated in a hotel and will travel to Stockholm the following day.
Meanwhile, technicians are inspecting the plane to determine whether the nausea could have been caused by something on board or if the simultaneous symptoms experienced by passengers were merely a coincidence.
