Ryanair Reaches 30 Million Passenger Milestone at Birmingham Airport

On July 10th, Ryanair announced that it has carried over 30 million passengers through Birmingham Airport since it began operations there in 1987. Starting with a single route to/from Knock, the airline now operates 50 routes connecting 17 countries across Europe, supported by seven Birmingham-based aircraft. This expansion has involved a $700 million investment and supports over 2400 local jobs.

This summer, Ryanair is operating its largest schedule ever at Birmingham Airport, with over 400 weekly flights across 50 routes. New destinations this year include Agadir, Berlin, Budapest, Marrakesh, Paphos, Paris, Seville, Tirana, and Valencia.

Passengers flying from Birmingham can take advantage of various services and amenities at the airport, including an array of dining and shopping options, as well as enhanced security procedures for a smoother travel experience.
