In an extravagant showcase at Haute Couture Week in Paris, Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia's newest airline, in collaboration with renowned fashion designer Ashi, debuted a unique fashion collection. This innovative line fuses high fashion with aviation elegance, drawing inspiration from the 1950s 'golden era' of aviation. The collection features a variety of male and female looks, including coats, dresses, trousers, shoes, and hats, all created with a modern twist.

Ashi introduced custom colors exclusive to Riyadh Air, marking a world first in aviation fashion. The Electric Amethyst for womenswear and Dark Amethyst for menswear are inspired by Saudi Arabia's lavender fields and the airline’s livery. The fashion pieces are designed to complement the cabin interiors of Riyadh Air's fleet, set to be revealed later this year.

The debut event in Paris saw the unveiling of 15 select pieces from the collection, attended by high-profile guests including senior stakeholders, diplomats, and celebrities. This marked a significant milestone for Riyadh Air, highlighting its commitment to luxury and innovation. The collection will be worn by Riyadh Air’s cabin crew, pilots, concierges, and airport agents, with designs that can be updated seasonally to maintain freshness.

Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas noted the airline’s rapid progress and global impact, expressing pride in the collaboration. The intricate designs, embodying elements of Riyadh Air's branding, are set to make a lasting impression on guests.

Ashi, the founder of ASHI Studio, highlighted the unique blend of fashion and aviation in this project. Inspired by the glamour of the 1950s, Ashi modernized classic lines to create contemporary yet timeless pieces. The year-long collaboration, including six months dedicated to color development, reflects a meticulous approach to design.

Riyadh Air is scheduled to commence flights in mid-2025, aiming to connect Riyadh to over 100 destinations by 2030. Key destinations will include major cities in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, providing travelers with a wide range of options. The airline promises a premium travel experience, featuring state-of-the-art cabins, exceptional service, and innovative in-flight entertainment.

This new development in Riyadh Air's offerings is set to attract travelers looking for luxury and style in their journeys, making it a significant addition to the global aviation landscape.
