Philips launches innovative Cast server for hotels

PPDS, a manufacturer of professional equipment, has announced the release of its new product for the hospitality industry – the Philips Cast Server. This compact server is designed to integrate into a hotel's network, enabling guests to easily stream content on their devices.

The new development aims to simplify the streaming process. With the Philips Cast Server, guests can view content on their devices without switching networks. Additionally, the server is designed with the hotel business in mind: it offers easy QR code-based connection and compatibility with Chromecast, allowing guests to securely stream content from popular apps like Disney+ and YouTube directly to the TV.

For hoteliers, this product offers more than just improved guest experiences. Thanks to GDPR-compliant analytics, the Cast Server provides insights into guest preferences and allows for remote control of TVs, helping to address staffing shortages.
