Philippine Airlines has cancelled a number of services linking Manila with the Middle East between 5 and 9 March 2026 due to developments in the region. The airline said the decision was taken to protect passengers, crew and ground staff while conditions remain uncertain. Several scheduled flights to Doha, Dubai and Riyadh have been removed from the timetable during the affected period.

The airline confirmed that both outbound and inbound services are involved. Flights connecting Manila with Doha, Dubai and Riyadh were scheduled on several dates but have now been suspended for safety reasons. Philippine Airlines said the changes follow ongoing monitoring of the situation in the region, which has already affected aviation operations across several international routes.

Cancelled Philippine Airlines Flights (5–9 March)

  • PR 685 / PR 684 Manila–Doha–Manila
  • PR 658 / PR 659 Manila–Dubai–Manila
  • PR 654 / PR 655 Manila–Riyadh–Manila

Passengers whose journeys are affected may request a rebooking or a refund in line with the airline’s policies. Philippine Airlines also advises customers to confirm their flight status before travelling to the airport. Updates are being shared through the airline’s website, mobile application and official social media channels as the situation develops.

While some Middle East routes are temporarily unavailable, travellers departing Manila continue to have access to a wide range of international destinations across Asia and beyond. Philippine Airlines still operates flights to Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore and Sydney. These services are used by people heading abroad for holidays, family visits or work. During the early spring travel period they remain among the main international departures available from Manila. Airlines sometimes suspend flights when safety concerns affect key air routes. Carriers may adjust schedules or cancel services if conditions in a region change quickly, especially in areas that depend on busy international connections. People planning long-distance journeys should check airline updates regularly and allow extra time to rearrange travel plans if flights are cancelled or rescheduled.
