Norse Atlantic Airways Launches New London to Cape Town Route
Norse Atlantic Airways has unveiled its latest flight path from London Gatwick to Cape Town, starting October 28, 2024. This new route marks a significant expansion in the airline's services, operating three times weekly.
The introduction of this route provides passengers with a more direct and affordable option to explore Cape Town, disrupting the existing duopoly on the London-Cape Town connection. With the inaugural fares set at £499 for Economy and £1199 for Norse Premium class, Norse Atlantic Airways aims to combine affordability with luxury.
CEO Bjorn Tore Larsen highlighted the route's potential to enhance consumer choice and reduce travel costs, emphasizing the company's commitment to accessible global travel. London Gatwick's VP of Aviation Development, Stephanie Wear, also praised the new service for boosting both tourism and economic ties between the two cities.
Cape Town, known for its stunning landscapes and rich culture, offers numerous attractions. From the iconic Table Mountain to the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and the historical Robben Island, the city caters to a wide array of interests.
The flights will feature the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, promising a comfortable and refined flying experience. The schedule is conveniently set with evening departures from London and morning arrivals in Cape Town, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
