New Hotels in Jeddah to Boost Travel Convenience Near King Abdullah Sports City

IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to open two new hotels in northern Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City by 2028, working with Koushan Real Estate Development Company. The project will bring Saudi Arabia its first Kimpton and EVEN Hotels, adding a total of 585 rooms. Close to the planned 2034 FIFA World Cup stadium, the development contributes to Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to increase tourism and handle the influx of travelers from both local and global markets.
Kimpton will highlight contemporary design and cater to guests seeking a lifestyle-oriented experience. EVEN Hotels will cater to wellness-minded guests by providing:
- Dedicated in-room fitness zones,
- Health-focused dining options,
- Features created to enhance guests’ overall well-being.
Found in the northern part of Jeddah, the site provides quick connections to:
- King Abdulaziz International Airport,
- Major transit routes,
- Key road networks.
This makes the hotels a convenient base for visitors arriving for events, business, or leisure.
We are thrilled to partner with Koushan Real Estate Development Company once again to bring Kimpton and EVEN Hotels to a location as iconic and strategically important as King Abdullah Sports City. We look forward to delivering memorable experiences that combine wellness, culture, and heartfelt hospitality.
Thanks to this development, travelers will have easier access to several unique destinations in the Jeddah area. One notable location is the Jeddah Waterfront, a modern coastal promenade known for walking paths and family-friendly open spaces. Fakieh Aquarium is a spot where people come to catch live marine shows and see all kinds of sea creatures from the Red Sea. Additionally, the floating Al Rahma Mosque, built over the water, provides a serene setting and is a popular stop for architecture and photography enthusiasts.
The new hotels will also provide easy access to several recently developed entertainment areas in northern Jeddah. These include City Walk Jeddah, a seasonal venue featuring outdoor art displays and food markets; Prince Majid Park, one of the city’s largest green spaces with recreational facilities suitable for all ages; and the Jeddah Superdome, a major indoor arena hosting concerts, exhibitions, and sports events year-round. These attractions will be more reachable for guests during key citywide occasions.
As Jeddah expands its role as a tourist destination beyond religious travel, developments like this provide travelers with diverse lodging choices aligned with their interests. Whether guests are seeking wellness-focused stays, family-friendly entertainment, or access to cultural landmarks, the new hotels reflect a shift toward modern, traveler-centered hospitality in Saudi Arabia.
