New Hotel Near Dublin Offers Quiet Alternative for Exploring Ireland's Heartland

IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to launch a new property called Voco The Club Dublin Gateway by the end of summer 2025. Located about 15 miles west of Dublin in County Kildare, the hotel is being developed in partnership with Nhance. The 50-room venue will join the growing Voco brand portfolio in Europe once it is rebranded, offering modern accommodations near the N7 motorway, a major route connecting Dublin with Ireland’s southern and western regions.
This site balances a quiet country setting with strong transportation access, making it an ideal spot for travellers looking to stay near, but not inside, the capital. Available facilities at the hotel are expected to include:
- A restaurant on the premises serving guests,
- A wellness area equipped with a sauna and outdoor hot tubs,
- Multiple spaces designed to host meetings and private events.
We are pleased to announce the signing of our inaugural voco hotel in the Republic of Ireland. This remarkable property not only sets a high standard for the voco brand but also lays a solid foundation for our expansion across the country as we look to explore new opportunities across our diverse brand portfolio.
Travellers staying at this property will find several nearby attractions worth exploring. The Irish National Stud And Gardens offers a glimpse into Ireland’s horse breeding heritage and includes peaceful walking trails. Visitors looking for outlet shopping are attracted to Kildare Village’s selection of global designer brands. The Japanese Gardens, located close to the hotel, are celebrated for their artistic design and vibrant seasonal displays.
The surrounding area also offers options for nature and activity-focused visitors. Pollardstown Fen, the largest calcareous spring-fed fen in Ireland, features distinctive wetland landscapes and easy-to-navigate boardwalk trails. The Palmer North Course At The K Club is a well-regarded golf course that has hosted international events and is under a 30-minute drive away. Following the River Barrow, the Barrow Way provides a scenic route for hikers to experience calm riverbanks and serene rural landscapes.

The launch of Voco The Club Dublin Gateway is expected to improve accommodation availability in a region often overlooked by international visitors. It supports a growing interest in rural travel while still offering convenience for those flying into or out of Dublin. With its proximity to outdoor attractions, entertainment venues, and shopping areas, the hotel provides a convenient option for guests aiming to experience both the immediate vicinity and the larger region.
