On 1 October 2025, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts opened InterContinental Sapporo in Hokkaido, Japan. The hotel occupies floors nine through fourteen of the Lilac Square complex and includes 149 rooms, 13 of which are suites. Rooms provide views of the city, surrounding parks, and the Toyohira River. Inside, the design combines natural tones, spacious lounges, and plants to mirror the local environment. The property is designed to accommodate visitors whether they are staying for just a few days or for an extended period.
