Wizz Air, Romania’s largest low-cost airline, is increasing its operations with 15 new routes from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, and Brasov. These airports will be linked to destinations throughout Europe and North Africa, covering countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Finland, the Czech Republic, and Morocco. As a result of this expansion, the airline now links 13 Romanian airports to 85 destinations across 27 countries, providing travelers with more direct flight options.

The new routes provide travelers with greater flexibility and fewer disruptions during their journeys. From Bucharest, travelers will be able to reach Berlin, Prague, Bordeaux, Turku, and Faro. Cluj-Napoca will offer flights to Marrakesh, Stockholm Skavsta, Oslo Sandefjord Torp, and Milan Malpensa. Iasi will offer flights to Copenhagen, Prague, Valencia, and Pescara, while travelers from Brasov will have direct connections to Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino. These additions allow passengers to plan trips more efficiently, with fewer layovers and wider options for both business and leisure travel.

The new flights make it easier to explore notable sites in different destinations. In Berlin, passengers can visit Tiergarten Park, explore Hackescher Markt, or walk along major city squares. Milan provides access to the Navigli district, Sforza Castle gardens, and lively neighborhoods suitable for walking and sightseeing. Faro offers opportunities to enjoy Ria Formosa Natural Park, Praia de Faro beach, and the waterfront areas of the Old Town. These destinations offer travelers a mix of city attractions and natural sites.

Routes from northern Europe and North Africa also provide access to well-known attractions. From Stockholm Skavsta, passengers can reach the archipelago islands, Tyresta National Park, and coastal walking areas. Marrakesh connects travelers to Jardin Majorelle, Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and the Medina markets. Oslo Sandefjord Torp opens possibilities to visit fjord viewpoints, coastal trails, and scenic nature areas. The expanded network allows travelers to reach these destinations more directly and with less planning complexity.

Overall, the 15 new routes improve travel options and connectivity for Romanian passengers. Increased direct flights reduce total travel time, enhance flexibility, and offer more convenient access to a variety of cities and attractions. The new connections between multiple Romanian airports and key destinations in Europe and North Africa improve regional mobility and make it easier for travelers to plan short trips, longer stays, or leisure journeys.
