In 2025, flydubai is scheduled to receive 12 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Seven of the aircraft began operating between April and August, with the remaining five scheduled for delivery by year’s end. Once the deliveries are complete, the airline’s fleet will exceed 95 aircraft, enabling service to 135 destinations in 57 countries. The additions are intended to strengthen operational capacity and maintain service on both existing and new routes.

This year, the airline added 11 destinations, including Antalya, Al Alamein, Damascus, and Peshawar. Further expansion in Europe is planned, with flights to Chișinău and Iași beginning in September, followed by Vilnius and Riga in December. These connections are expected to allow passengers to travel more directly, with fewer stops along the way. These changes are made in response to ongoing evaluations of the network’s schedules and available routes.

Our fleet investment supports our mission to offer greater choice, enhanced convenience and improved connectivity for our passengers. These deliveries are part of a backlog extensively delayed in recent years, and despite receiving 12 aircraft this year, we remain 20 aircraft behind our original projections.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai

Flights to Chișinău will provide access to Ștefan cel Mare Central Park, the Piața Centrală market, and Stephen the Great Boulevard. Services to Iași, starting in September, will include Copou Park, Union Square, and the Botanical Garden. These routes are intended to improve access to city landmarks, parks, and cultural sites for short-term trips, allowing travellers to plan itineraries with fewer connection points.

New flights to Vilnius and Riga are planned for December. Vilnius services will connect to the Užupis neighbourhood, Bernardine Gardens, and the Three Crosses monument. Riga will include access to Jūrmala Beach, the Central Market, and Art Nouveau architecture. The European routes are designed to offer more direct connections between significant cities and scenic destinations, accommodating both business and leisure travelers.

The network adjustments aim to increase operational efficiency and reduce travel times. Passengers can reach urban centres, cultural locations, and coastal areas with fewer transfers. The fleet expansion and added routes reflect ongoing planning to manage capacity across multiple regions and maintain connectivity to a broad set of international destinations.
