New Direct Flights Between Nice and Florence Open Up Easier Travel Across the Mediterranean

Air Corsica has launched a new direct route connecting Nice and Florence, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays throughout the year. Flights on this route are flown with ATR72 600 jets, establishing the first nonstop connection between Nice and Florence. The initiative responds to growing travel demand between southern France and central Italy and adds a fresh option to the regional network.
Flight times are arranged to provide smooth connections between Florence and Corsica’s four main airports via Nice. These airports include:
- Ajaccio
- Bastia
- Calvi
- Figari
Ticket prices start at 99 euros for one-way flights between Nice and Florence. Round-trip fares from Corsica through Nice to Florence begin at 269 euros. Each ticket includes:
- One checked bag up to 23 kg
- One carry-on bag up to 8 kg
Those flying this new connection to Florence will benefit from improved access to unique attractions outside the typical tourist paths. Giardino Bardini features quiet garden spaces with sweeping city views. Visitors can explore the historic perfume workshops at Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. San Lorenzo Market buzzes with activity, giving travelers a chance to explore Tuscan food, crafts, and cultural traditions.
Those arriving in Nice will also find new opportunities for exploration along the Côte d’Azur. The coastal path around Cap d’Antibes offers scenic walking trails with direct views of the Mediterranean. The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat is renowned for its beautiful gardens and terraces with views of the sea. In central Nice, Cours Saleya brings together open-air markets, flower stalls and local dining in a lively atmosphere.

This new connection simplifies travel between regions that were previously linked only through longer or multi-stop journeys. This makes planning trips easier and allows visitors to see several Mediterranean destinations in one travel experience. The development of regional air services is leading to more direct routes like this one, making travel between important European cities faster and more convenient.
