According to the initiators' plans, a new bicycle route will connect eight Balkan countries in 2024.
The Trans Dinarica bicycle route will pass through the most beautiful places: dense forests, rocky mountains, picturesque coasts and national parks. The road will connect 8 countries: Montenegro, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Albania and Kosovo. The total length is 3364 km, according to the press release.
The idea is that cyclists will travel 50 to 60 km a day on dirt roads and single tracks.
By cycling daily at this pace, each country can be covered in 7-10 days. Detailed navigation information will be available to cyclists along the route, including places to eat and spend the night.
